Ingredients

  • 2 Raw Banana
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for pan frying
  • For Masala:
  • 3 tbsp grated Coconut
  • 1 tsp Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water little as needed

Instructions

  • Take raw banana, peel em and slice them at a angle, so you end up with a long slices.
  • Boil water with salt in a sauce pan, once it reaches a boil, add in the banana and cook till the banana is tender. it will take around 3 to 4 mins.
  • Drain it and allow it to cool down.
  • Take masala ingredients in a blender and make it into a fine paste.
  • Apply the masala all over the banana, and leave it to marinate for 10 mins.
  • Heat oil for pan frying. Add the marinated bananas in oil and fry till crispy on both sides. Drain and serve.
