Ingredients

  • 2 cups Vegetables of your Choice I used carrot,cabbage,onion,potato,cabbage,brinjal,chillies around 3- 3.5 cups of veggies
  • 2 tbsp Kasuri Methi Leaves
  • 1 cup Gram Flour / Kadala mavu / Besan
  • ½ cup Rice Flour / Arisi mavu
  • 1 tbsp Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • Chop your vegetables and wash it in a colander.
  • Put this in a mixing bowl, add salt, turmeric, garam masala and chilli powder.
  • Now add fennel and cumin seeds in this. Now add kasuri methi leaves, salt and baking powder in this.
  • Add in gram flour and rice flour in this and mix well. Pour in some water and make into a thick batter kind of consistency.
  • Take a spoonful and drop into hot oil and fry till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with ketchup or mayo.
