Ingredients

  • 4 Orange Peels
  • 6 Lemon Peels
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¾ cup Caster Sugar

Instructions

  • Remove the peels from fruit, slice of as much white part from the peels. Slice into strips and set aside.
  • Take water in a sauce pan, add the peels in and cook for 2 mins. Drain it.
  • Now fill fresh water in the pan and add the peels back in and cook for 3 mins this remove the bitterness from it. Drain it.
  • Now take sugar and water in a sauce pan, bring it to a boil. Add the peels in and cook for 5 to 10 mins till it is done.
  • Now drain it and spread it in a parchment paper so it gets dry. Let it dry for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Now take it in a bowl, and sprinkle the top with some caster sugar. Toss well.
  • Spread it in parchment paper and let it dry for 1 hour or so.
  • Now store in an air tight container.
  • This will stay good for 1 to 2 months in fridge.
