Ingredients

  • For Cake:
  • 2 cup / 240 grams All Purpose Flour / Maida
  • 1 cup / 200 grams Sugar
  • 6 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • ½ cup / 120 ml Oil
  • 11/2 cup / 360 ml Water
  • 4 tbsp Cornflour / Cornstarch
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda / Cooking Soda
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • For Decorating:
  • Whipped Cream as needed RECIPE HERE
  • 1 cup chopped + few whole for topping Cherries
  • Syrup that comes with cherry as needed for soaking cake
  • Chocolate Curls and Shaving as needed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180 degree C.
  • Take three 7 inch round pans and grease them well with oil, now dust them with flour and coat them on all sides. Remove the excess.
  • Now take flour, cocoa, cornflour, baking soda and salt in a sifter and sieve them well.
  • Take oil, water, vanilla, vinegar, sugar in a large bowl and mix well.
  • Add in sifted dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Divide this into the prepared pans and pop it in the oven in center rack.
  • Bake for 15 to 17 mins.
  • Insert a toothpick to see whether the cake is done, if it comes clean then the cake is cooked.
  • Remove it and let it cool down for 15 mins.
  • Now invert it and cool completely.
  • Now Place a cake on the stand, brush the top with some cherry syrup, spread some whipped cream over it, spread cherries over it, Place another cake and repeat this till the last cake.
  • Now cover the entire cake with cream.
  • Chill the cake for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Slice and enjoy.
