Ingredients

  • 200 grams Tofu
  • 2 cup Peas i used fresh
  • 4 large pureed Tomtoes
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • 1 inch piece Cinnamon / Pattai
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder / Malli Podi
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
  • 1 tspCumin Powder
  • 2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar - to taste
  • Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add in the whole spices and let them sizzle.
  • Now add in tomatoes and cook till raw smell leaves away.
  • Now add in the ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
  • Add in the spice powders except garam masala powder and mix well.
  • Add in salt and sugar to taste and cook till oil separates from the mix.
  • Add in water as needed along with tofu and peas. Cover and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Simmer the flame and cook for 5 mins. Turn off the heat and let the steam go all by itself.
  • Open the cooker, add in garam masala powder and simmer for a min.
  • Add in coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Serve with roti.
