Punjabi Kadhi Pakora Recipe with step by step picture. This is made with Besan, Potatoes. Pakoras are made and soaked in a yogurt sauce.

Ingredients

  • For Pakora:
  • 1 cup Gram Flour
  • 1 medium Onion chopped finely
  • 1 medium Potatoes peeled and chopped finely
  • 1 Green Chillies peeled and chopped finely
  • ¼ cup Coriander Leaves finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda x
  • 1 tsp Water
  • Oil for Deep Frying
  • For Kadhi:
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Fenugreek Seeds
  • 2 broken Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 tbsp Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chillies` finely chopped
  • 1.5 cup Sour Yogurt
  • 1.5 tbsp Gram Flour
  • 1 tsp Water
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped

Instructions

  • Take all ingredients for pakora and mix well. Heat oil for deep frying, drop pakora in and fry till golden. Drain and set aside.
  • Now take yogurt, gram flour, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder in a bowl and whisk well. Now add in water and make it thin.
  • Now heat oil in a kadai, add in mustard, cumin, fenugreek seeds. Sizzle for a  min.
  • Now add in dry red chillies, ginger and chillies and saute for a min.,
  • Add in the kadhi mix in and bring it to a boil. Once it boils, simmer it for 5 mins.
  • Now add in pakora and simmer for another 5 mins,.
  • Add in coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Serve.
