Ingredients

  • 2 Orange Skin chopped finely
  • 2 Green chillies chopped
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • Curry leaves a sprig
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 lemon size Tamarind
  • 1 cup Water
  • ¼ cup Jaggery

Instructions

  • Start by soaking tamarind in 1 cup of water.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard seeds and urad dal. let them sizzle. Now add in curry leaves and mix well.
  • Add in oranges and chillies and saute for 5 mins. .
  • Now add spice powders and salt. Mix well.
  • Pour tamarind water and mix well.
  • Now simmer the pot and cook till oranges are cooked. It will take around 8 to 10 mins.
  • Now add in jaggery and mix well. Cook this for 5 to 7 mins till it thickens..
  • Serve.
