Ingredients

  • 1 cup Urad Dal Flour
  • ½ cup grated Karupatti / Palm Sugar U can use Jaggery / Gur
  • 3 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 tbsp Cashewnuts chopped finely
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder

Instructions

  • Take karupatti in a sauce pan and add just 2 tblspn of water. Mix well.
  • Heat on a low heat till it is warm and the karupatti is melted. Strain it and set aside.
  • Now heat 3 tblspn of ghee in a kadai. Add in cashews and fry till golden. Remove and set aside.
  • In the remaining ghee add the flour and fry on low heat for 5 to 7 mins till the raw smell leaves from it..
  • Now remove it from heat and add in cardamom powder.
  • Add in the strained syrup to the flour and mix well. Add syrup till the mix turns little wet enough to form ladoos.
  • Add in cashews and mix well.
  • Now let it cool a bit and take a healthy portion from it. Shape it into tight ladoos.
  • Serve.
