  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp Ajwain / Carom Seeds / Omam
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
  • ¼ tsp Asafoetida
  • 1 tsp Oil for Deep frying
  • Water as needed
  • Chat Masala - Optional


  • Take flour, salt, chilli powder, ajwain, cumin, asafoetida in a bowl. Mix well.
  • Add in water and mix well.
  • Heat a tsp of oil till smoking and pour that into the dough and knead well.
  • Rest it for 10 mins. Now divide it into equal portions.
  • Take a dough and roll it into a thin sheet..The sheet should be really thin.
  • Now use a pizza cutter or a knife and cut diamonds from it.
  • Separate them.
  • Heat oil for deep frying and drop these in hot oil.. Fry till golden.
  • Drain it into a bowl, sprinkle with chat masala if needed.
  • Serve.
