Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole Wheat flour
  • ½ cup Yellow Split Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu
  • ¼ cup Almonds / Badam

Instructions

  • Wash moong dal well in lots of water, let it drain in a sieve for 10 to 15 mins.
  • Heat a heavy bottom kadai. Add moong dal in it and roast it on a medium heat.
  • The moisture will evaporate and the the dal will get golden. It will take around 10 to 15 mins.
  • Once it reaches that stage remove to a plate.
  • Now in the same kadai roast almonds till they turn golden. It will take around 5 mins. Remove that to the same plate as well.
  • Now in the same kadai add in whole wheat flour and roast them on a very low heat till nice aroma comes from it. It will take around 5 mins.
  • Now take the moong dal and almonds in a blender and make it into a smooth powder.
  • Add that powder to the wheat flour and mix well.
  • Spread them on a plate too cool down. You can seive them also.
  • Store this in a air tight container in fridge.
