Ingredients

  • Broccoli - 3 cups finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Water - as needed for cooking
  • Oil for deep frying
  • For Batter:
  • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 3 tblspn
  • Cornflour / Cornstarch - 6 tblspn
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Water - ¼ cup
  • For Tossing:
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Ginger - 1 tblspn finely chopped
  • Garlic - 1 tblspn finely chopped
  • Shallots / Sambar Onion - 5 sliced thinly
  • Green Chilli - 2 sliced thinly
  • Spring Onion - 2 chopped finely
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Bring lots of water to a boil, add salt and drop in broccoli. COok for a min, drain it and let it cool.
  • Take broccoli in a bowl, add all other ingredient to the broccoli. Mix well. Drop this in hot oil and fry till golden. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a frying pan. Add in ginger, garlic and onions, saute for a min.
  • Add in green chillies and saute again.
  • Add in salt and pepper. Add in the fried broccoli and toss.
  • Finally add spring onion and mix.
  • Serve.
