Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Rice
  • 3 tbsp Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu
  • ½ cup chopped Mixed Vegetables Carrots, Beetroots, Cauliflower, Potato
  • Spinach - a handful
  • 3 fat cloves Garlic
  • Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi - a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Homemade Ghee
  • 1 ½ cup Water

Instructions

  • Take rice and dal in a bowl and wash it well. Now drain it and add into pressure cooker.
  • Add in chopped vegetables, garlic, asafoetida, salt.
  • Add in water and cover the cooker. Pressure cook this for 5 whistle andsimmer it for 5 mins.
  • Switch off the flame and let the steam escape all by itself.
  • Open the cooker and mash the rice with a potato masher or if you want it tobe smooth, you can take that in a blender and puree them.
  • Pour this into bowl. Drizzle in homemade ghee and mix well.
  • Feed your baby warm.
