Ingredients

  • Aval / poha - 2 cups
  • Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Green Chilli - 2 finely chopped
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig finely chopped
  • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal / Ulundu paruppu - 1 tblspn
  • Coconut - ½ cup grated
  • Oil - 1 tblspn
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Take poha and sprinkle some water over it and mix well with your hands. Add some salt to it
  • and mix well. Set this aside till use.
  • Now heat oil in a kadai. Add in mustard and urad dal and let it sizzle.
  • Add in onions, green chilli and curry leaves and mix well.
  • Add some salt and
  • cook for a couple of mins.
  • Now add in the prepared poha mixture and toss well in the oil so that everything gets heated
  • up.
  • Finally sprinkle grated coconut and mix well.
  • Serve hot.
