Whole Orange blender cake recipe with step-by-step pictures. Easy and quick orange cake recipe which can be made entirely in a blender. The cake batter starts in a blender and then transferred to a loaf pan and baked to get this moist orange blender cake.
Preheat oven to 180°C (356 degree F). Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Prepare oranges as mentioned. Wash one whole orange really well, cut it in half and remove all the seeds from the oranges. Chop oranges into bite-size pieces. Make sure that orange doesn't have any seed even one seed can make the cake taste bitter. We will be using one whole orange entirely.
Take a blender jar. Add orange, eggs, sugar, oil and blend till it turns into a puree. It will take around 30 seconds to a min. Now open the blender, add in flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and pulse for 3 to 4 times till combined. Use a spatula to mix the batter once. Now the batter is done.
Take the loaf pan, spoon the batter into the loaf pan and pop it into the oven and bake for 35 to 45 mins. Check the loaf pan by inserting a toothpick. If the toothpick comes clean then the cake is done.
Cool the cake completely. Un mould, slice and serve.
Mix icing sugar and orange juice to form a glaze. Pour over the cake and let it drip naturally. Leave it to set for 15 mins before slicing.
