Homemade Burger Buns Recipe (Soft Hamburger Buns Recipe)

Burger buns also known as Hamburger rolls or buns are soft round buns made with flour, sugar, yeast,, milk, butter and water mixture. These buns are soft and pillowy like texture which is perfect to have in your burger or spread with butter jam and enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups All Purpose Flour (maida) 360 grams
  • teaspoon Dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar or Honey
  • 1 large Egg
  • ¾ cup Warm water
  • ½ cup Milk
  • teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoon Melted Butter or Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoon Sesame seeds for topping

Instructions
 

  • Crack open one egg in a bowl. Whisk it slightly. Take 1 tablespoon of the egg mixture in another bowl and add 1tbsp water and mix well. This is for egg wash, set aside.
  • Take flour, sugar, yeast and salt in a bowl and mix well. Now add butter, warm water, milk and the whisked egg and knead well. Transfer the dough into work surface. Knead it for 5 to 10 mins till it is soft and springs back. Now place the dough in an oiled bowl. Cover and let it rise for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Now take the dough and punch the air out. Divide the dough into equal parts. Roll it evenly and tightly into small rolls.
  • Arrange it on a baking tray. Now cover and let it rise for 30 mins to 45 mins. During the last 10 minutes of rising, Preheat oven to 200 degree C | 400 degree F. Now brush the top with more egg wash, sprinkle sesame seeds.
  • Place the tray it into the oven and bake for 15 to 20 mins. Remove from oven, brush top with melted butter and serve warm.
