Delicious and comforting flavour packed hot and sour dumpling soup made vegetarian at home. This vegan soup is so good you will be making it more often than you you think. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan. Place the dumplings in and add in water. Cover with a lid and steam cook on medium heat for 5 minutes. Now the dumplings is cooked and bottom is crispy.
Take oil in a small pan and heat till smoking hot.
Take a serving dish which is ceramic or heat proof. Add in garlic, spring onions, red chilli powder. Pour over the hot oil over the garlic and chillies and mix well. Now add in soy sauce, sugar, vinegar and mix well. Pour hot broth over the chilli soy mixture and mix well. Taste and adjust seasoning accordingly.
Add sesame seeds, cooked momos into the soup and serve hot.

You can use chicken stock instead of vegetable stock.
Any variety of momos can be used in the dish. You can steam the momos separately and add it into the soup.
Any cooked vegetables like bamboo shoots, bok choy, baby corn, can be used in this soup.
Taste and adjust the soup as per your taste.
You can use sesame oil instead of regular oil.
Storage and Serving
This soup can be made straight in individual serving bowl, leftover soup base can be stored in fridge and reheated in microwave at the time of serving.
