Papad - 3 broken into pieces
▢
Gingelly Oil - 3 tblsp
▢
Mustard Seeds - ½ tsp
▢
Chana Dal - 1 tsp
▢
Urad dal - 1 tsp
▢
Dry Red Chilli - 2
▢
Asaofetida / Hing / Kaya Podi a pinch
▢
Curry leaves a sprig
▢
Tamarind - 1 small lime size
▢
Water as needed
▢
Coriander Powder - 2 tblsp
▢
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
▢
Turmeric Powder -1 tsp
▢
Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
▢
Salt to taste
▢
Jaggery to taste
Instructions
▢
Heat oil in a pan, add in all seasoning ingredients and fry till golden.
▢
Add in papad and fry it up.
▢
Add tamarind water, spice powders and salt. Mix well.
▢
Simmer for 10 mins till it gets thick.
▢
Add in jaggery and mix well.
▢
Let it stand for 30 mins.
▢
Serve.
