Equipment

  • 4 to 5 inch square pan
  • Aluminium foil or Parchment paper
  • Oven or OTG

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup All Purpose Flour 60 grams
  • 75 grams Unsalted Butter
  • ¾ cup Granulated Sugar 150 grams
  • cup Cocoa Powder 35 grams
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 2 no Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup Milk Chocolate chopped roughly

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180 Degree C or 375 Degree F. Line a 4 to 5 inch square tin with foil and apply some butter on it. You can line it with parchment paper as well.
  • In a sauce pan add butter, sugar and melt it on low heat. Add in cocoa and mix well. Turn the heat off and set aside for 2 minutes. Add in flour, baking soda, salt and mix gently using a spoon. Add in eggs, vanilla and mix till it becomes smooth consistency. Now fold in the chopped milk chocolate and mix well.
  • Pour in to the tin and bake it in the oven for 25-30 min. Insert a knife it will have some moist crumbs in it. Cut into squares and enjoy with a glass of milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • When melting butter, make sure the heat is low so you don't burn anything.
  • Once cocoa is added, make sure you turn off the heat and let it sit for 2 minutes for the cocoa to bloom.
  • Instead of lining the pan with foil, you can line it with parchment paper.
  • Don't over bake the brownies, else it may turn hard. 

Storage

The brownies can be made up to 3 days ahead and stored in an airtight container. Will keep for total of 5 days.
The brownies can be frozen for up to 3 months in airtight container, layered with baking parchment. Thaw overnight in cool place.
