Ingredients

  • 1 cup Millet (any variety)
  • 3 cup Water
  • ½ cup Curd
  • 2 cup Milk
  • Salt to taste

For Seasoning:

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds / Kaduku
  • 1 tsp Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu
  • ¼ tsp Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi
  • 2 Green Chillies chopped finely
  • 1 tsp Ginger grated
  • a sprig Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped

Instructions

  • Take millet in a bowl and wash well. Add it to pressure cooker and cover with water. Pressure cook for 2 whistle, simmer for 5 mins. Turn off the heat and let the steam go all by itself. Open the cooker and mix well. Allow this to cool.
  • Now add curd, milk, salt and mix well.
  • Make seasoning by heating oil and adding all the seasoning ingredients and saute for a min. Add that to the curd rice and mix well.
  • Serve.
