Ingredients

Ladysfinger / Okra / Bhindi - 10 chopped
Coriander powder / Malli podi - 1 tblspn
Turmeric powder / Manjal podi - 1 tsp
Cumin powder / Jeera podi - 1 tsp
Tamarind Pulp - 2 tblspn or to taste
For Masala:
Coconut - ½ cup
Dry Red Chilli - 5 or to taste
For Seasoning:
Oil - 1 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu -1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Instructions
Grind together coconut and red chilli to a smooth paste. Set this aside till use.
Heat oil in a kadai and add in all the seasoning ingredients and let them sizzle for a min.
Now add in okra and saute for 5 mins so it get rids of the sliminess.
Now add in the spice powders, salt and mix well.
Add a splash of water and cover with a lid. Let it cook for 5 to 8 mins till the okra is cooked.
Now add in the coconut masala and more water. Mix them well.
Add the tamarind pulp and mix well.
Let this simmer for 5 to 10 mins.
Serve with rice.
