Marie Biscuits Recipe | How to Make Marie Biscuits at Home

Marie biscuits can be made easily at home. This biscuits taste so good just like the real ones. This biscuits can be stored in an air tight container for 3 to 4 days.

Ingredients

  • 30 grams Unsalted Butter
  • cup Milk 30 ml
  • cup All Purpose Flour 150 grams
  • Salt a pinch
  • ¼ cup Sugar 50 grams
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda

MY 1 CUP MEASURES 240 ml

    Instructions

    • Take milk, sugar, baking soda in a sauce pan and heat it up.
    • Cook till sugar melts and it comes to a good boil. Take it off the heat and set aside to cool.
    • Preheat oven to 160 degree C.
    • Take flour, butter and salt in a bowl. Use a fork to rub the butter into the flour.
    • Once it is mixed, add the liquid and form into a dough.
    • Now take a portion of dough and roll it thin.
    • Cut it using round cutter.
    • Arrange it in a baking tray which is lined with parchment paper and bake for 8 - 10 mins.
    • Remove and cool on a wire rack completely.
    • Store in a air tight container.

    Tips & Tricks

    • Equal amount of wheat flour can be used instead of all purpose flour.
    • Make sure you cool the milk mix a little before adding it into the flour.
    • If you feel like the dough is too dry, then add in more milk.
    • Butter adds flavour for the dough. So use butter for best taste.
    • Don't over bake the cookies else it may burn. Bake till it turns golden.
    • Biscuits may look soft when you remove it from oven, but it will harden as they cool.

    Storage & Serving

    Biscuits can be baked, cooled completely and stored in an air tight container upto a week. Marie biscuits can be served with a cup of tea or coffee.
