Green Bean Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • Green Beans - 250 grams cut into long pieces
  • Butter - 3 tblspn
  • Onion - 1 medium size chopped finely
  • All Purpose flour / Maida - 1 tblspn
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Cream Cheese - ½ cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Pepper to taste
  • Breadcrumbs - ½ cup
  • Butter - 3 tblspn cut into cubes
  • Cheese - ¼ cup grated

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200 degree C.
  • Heat water in a saucepan, add salt and bring it to a boil. Add green beans in and boil it for 2 mins. Now drain and set aside.
  • Heat butter in a pan, add onions and saute for a min. Add in flour and mix well. Add in milk and cream cheese and stir to mix.
  • Season with salt, sugar, pepper and mix well.
  • Now add in beans and toss well.
  • Spoon this into the baking pan, sprinkle top with breadcrumbs, and top with butter and cheese.
  • Bake this for 25 to 30 mins.
  • Serve hot.
