Ingredients

  • For Crust:
  • All Purpose flour / Maida - ¾ cup / 90 grams
  • Cornflour / Cornstarch - ¼ cup / 30 grams
  • Powdered Sugar / Confectioners Sugar - ½ cup / 60 grams
  • Salt - ½ tsp
  • Cold Unsalted Butter - 115 grams / ½ cup
  • For Topping:
  • Butter - 115 grams / ½ cup
  • Brown Sugar - ¾ cup / 150 grams
  • Honey - 3 tblspn
  • Vanilla - 1 tsp
  • Milk - 2 tblspn
  • Pecans - 3 cups chopped 375 grams
  • Salt a pinch

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 170 degree C. Line a 9 inch square baking pan with parchment paper or foil and set aside.
  • Take flour, cornflour, powdered sugar, salt in a bowl and mix well. Add in the cubed butter and use a fork to rub it well. Now press this in the baking pan and bake for 15 mins, remove and set aside.
  • Now take butter, sugar, honey, salt and milk in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Cook for 1 or 2 mins.
  • Take it off the heat, add in vanilla, pecan and mix well.
  • Pour this over the crust and bake for 20 mins. It will be bubbly but once it cools it will set.
  • Now cool it down completely and slice.
  • Serve.
