This is my first attempt in making and eating a pecan desert.. it is too good to resist. I am sure everyone who eats this will love it for sure.
I am in a whole thanskgiving mood and cooking up a storm for this thanksgiving. I am trying to cover as much recipe as i can and this was my first recipe on the list. I ordered pecans from amazon and made this as well a pecan pie too. Both were irresistable.

Ingredients:
For Crust:
All Purpose flour / Maida - ¾ cup / 90 grams
Cornflour / Cornstarch - ¼ cup / 30 grams
Powdered Sugar / Confectioners Sugar - ½ cup / 60 grams
Salt - ½ tsp
Cold Unsalted Butter - 115 grams / ½ cup
For Topping:
Butter - 115 grams / ½ cup
Brown Sugar - ¾ cup / 150 grams
Honey - 3 tblspn
Vanilla - 1 tsp
Milk - 2 tblspn
Pecans - 3 cups chopped (375 grams)
Salt a pinch
(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)
Method:
Preheat oven to 170 degree C. Line a 9 inch square baking pan with parchment paper or foil and set aside.
Take flour, cornflour, powdered sugar, salt in a bowl and mix well. Add in the cubed butter and use a fork to rub it well. Now press this in the baking pan and bake for 15 mins, remove and set aside.
Now take butter, sugar, honey, salt and milk in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Cook for 1 or 2 mins.
Take it off the heat, add in vanilla, pecan and mix well.
Pour this over the crust and bake for 20 mins. It will be bubbly but once it cools it will set.
Now cool it down completely and slice.
Serve.

pop it in oven and bake for few mins |
remove it and cool down |
slice and serve |
