Mixture Recipe

Mixture is a combination of oma podi, kara boondhi, cashews, raisins, peanuts all fried together.

Ingredients

  • Kara Boondhi - 3 cups recipe here
  • Omapodi - 2 cups recipe here
  • Oil - 3 tblspn
  • Garlic - 6 cloves peeled
  • Peanuts - 2 tblspn
  • Cashews - 10
  • Roasted Gram Dal / Pori Kadalai - 3 tblspn
  • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder - ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi a pinch
  • Curry leaves a handful

Instructions

  • Take kara boondhi and omapodi in a bowl and toss well.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and fry till golden, drain and add to the mix.
  • In the same pan, add peanuts, cashews and gram dal and fry till golden. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and asafoetida. Mix well. Add this to the mix. Toss well.
  • Now add curry leaves in the pan and fry till crispy. Add it to the mix and toss well.
  • Serve.
