Ingredients

  • Almonds / Badam - ¾ cup
  • Sugar - ½ cup
  • Water - 3 tblspn
  • Cardamom Powder - ½ tsp
  • Ghee - 1 tblspn
  • Saffron few strands optional

Instructions

  • Spread little ghee on a stainless steel plate and set aside.
  • Take almonds in a bowl, add hot water over it and let it sit for 15 mins. Now you can easily peel off the skin of the almonds. Set aside.
  • Take the almonds in a blender and pulse few times so it is powdered into a coarse crumbs. Dont blend since it will turn into a paste.
  • Now take sugar and water in a nonstick pan and heat on low heat till sugar melts.
  • Now add the almond powder and mix well. So it thickens and leaves the sides.
  • Add little ghee and mix well.
  • At this point take it in the plate and roll it thin using a rolling pin.
  • Cool it down and cut into wedges.
