Ingredients

  • 3 cups Plums chopped plums
  • cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

Instructions

  • Wash plums well in water. Dry them using a paper towel. Slice them around to get rid off the seeds.
  • Now measure the plums and add it to a sauce pan.
  • Add in sugar and mix well. Now put this on heat and mix well till the sugar is melted.
  • Bring this to a boil and boil it for 5 mins.
  • Put a plate in the freezer.
  • Now simmer the pan and cook it for 10 mins. Add in lemon juice and mix well.
  • Now increase the heat and let it come to a good boil. if you see the plums will boil like crazy and be frothy and have changed much darker in colour.
  • Now take the plate out and drop a spoonful of juice in it. It will get thick and be like jam consistency. If it is still watery you can put it back on stove and cook for few more mins.
  • At this point you can turn off the heat and let the preserve cool completely.
  • Now put this in canning jar or regular sterlized jar and put in fridge.

Notes

You can puree plums if you want too and make this preserve.
You can make this with other fruits like strawberry or any berries..
