Ingredients

  • 2 medium Plantain peeled and cubed
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • Water to cook banana
  • For Grinding:
  • ½ cup Coconut
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 peeled Garlic
  • For Seasoning:
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • 1 Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves

Instructions

  • Take cubed banana in a pan, add in salt, turmeric powder and water and cook this for 5 to 6 mins till it is tender. Drain and set aside.
  • Take all grinding ingredients in a blender and make it into a rough puree, don’t add any water to this.
  • Now heat oil in a kadai, add seasoning ingredients and saute for a min.
  • Add in raw banana and toss that in the oil, add in the coconut mix and stir fry for few mins.
  • Now serve
