Chilli Prawns Recipe with step by step pictures. This spicy chilli prawns is made with Prawns, Tomato Sauce and Soy Sauce. Chilli prawns dry taste amazing with fried rice or noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 Dry Red Chillies broken into small pieces
  • 3 Spring Onion white part
  • ½ Bell Peppers / Capsicum chopped into small pieces
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Green Chilli Sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Pepper Powder
  • 2 Spring Onion green part chopped finely
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch dissolved in 1 tbsp of water
  • For Marinating Prawns:
  • 20 medium Prawns
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 4 tbsp Cornstarch
  • Water a little if needed
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • Take prawns in a bowl and add all the ingredients given for marinating except oil. Mix well. Now heat oil for deep frying in a pan, drop prawns in and fry till golden. Drain it and set aside.
  • Heat 1 tsp of oil in a frying pan, add in ginger, garlic and dry red chillies. Saute for a min.
  • Add in white part of spring onion and saute for a min.
  • Add in capsicum and saute for a min.
  • Now add in soya sauce, red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, vinegar, salt, sugar and pepper. Boil it for 1 to 2 mins.
  • Add in fried prawns and toss well in the sauce.
  • Mix cornflour with some water and mix well.Pour this into the sauce and toss well.
  • Add in green part of spring onion. Toss once. Serve.
