Ingredients

  • 3 ½ cup All Purpose Flour 420 grams
  • 1 cup Water 240 ml
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 2 tsp Dry Yeast
  • 2 ½ tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt to taste
  • 50 grams Unsalted Butter softened

Instructions

  • Take water in a microwave safe bowl, add in milk and butter and microwave it for 10 to 20 sec. It should get nice a warm..Should be luke warm. The butter wont melt.
  • Now add sugar to it and mix well. Now sprinkle over yeast and let it sit for 5 mins till it is activated.
  • Now take flour, salt in a bowl and mix well.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl and mix well
  • Add in egg and mix well.
  • Now knead this for a good 5 mins till the dough is soft and springy.
  • Cover it and let it rest for 1 to 1.5 hour till it is doubled in size.
  • Now knock back the air and knead once. Flatten it and divide it into equal portion.
  • Take one portion and shape it into ball. Flatten it slightly.
  • You can even braid the dough or do it in any shape. Arrange this in a parchment lined baking tray and cover it fr 30 mins till it puffed and doubled in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 200 degree C.
  • Now brush the top of the buns with some egg and sprinkle it with sesame seeds
  • Now bake this for 15 mins. Remove it and let it cool a little before serving.
