Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 large sliced Onion
  • 1 large sliced Tomatoes
  • 2 to 3 slit Green Chillies
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • For Seasoning:
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • ½ tsp Mustard Seeds / Kaduku
  • ½ tsp Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu
  • ½ tsp Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
  • ½ tsp Chana Dal / Kadalai Paruppu
  • Curry Leaves a sprig
  • a pinch Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a kadai. Add in onions, green chillies, salt and garlic cloves. Saute for a min.
  • Add in tomatoes and keep this cooking for 5 mins. Add in coriander leaves and saute till it gets mushy.
  • Take this in a blender and make it into a smooth puree.
  • Transfer this to a bowl.
  • Make seasoning by heating oil and crackling all spices in it. Pour this over the chutney and mix well.
  • Serve.
