Ingredients
▢
Mint Leaves - 2 cups packed
Mom added some coriander leaves too
▢
Salt to taste
▢
Sugar - 1 tsp
For Roasting & Grinding:
▢
Toor Dal / Tuvaram paruppu- 1 tblspn
▢
Urad dal / Ulundam paruppu - 1 tblspn
▢
Dry Red Chilli - 2
▢
Coconut - ½ cup
▢
Garlic - 1 clove
▢
Tamarind - 1 small piece
Instructions
▢
Take all the roasting ingredients except tamarind and roast them in a dry pan for 3 to 4 mins.
▢
Now add in mint leaves and saute them till they are wilted.
▢
Add in tamarind and mix them well.
▢
Add in salt and sugar and toss well.
▢
Take this in a blender and add very little water to make into a thick chutney.
▢
Serve with rice, dosa or idli.
