Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 10 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 5 Green chillies slit
  • 2 cups Milk
  • ¼ cup Cashew (Powdered)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp White pepper powder
  • ½ tsp Sugar

For Chicken

  • 500 grams Chicken preferably boneless
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp White Pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp All Purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp Cornflour
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • Take chicken in a bowl. Add in salt, white pepper powder and mix well. Add cornflour, maida and little water and mix really well to form a thick mass. Heat oil for deep frying. Drop chicken in hot oil and fry till golden brown around 5 to 6 mins. Drain on a paper towel and set aside.
  • Now make the sauce. Heat butter in a pan. Add in garlic and saute for few seconds. Add in green chillies and mix well. Pour in milk, cashew powder, salt sugar and white pepper. Mix well.
  • Add in the fried chicken and coat well in the sauce. Let the chicken cook in the sauce for 3 to 4 mins. The sauce will thicken and coat the chicken.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

  • I used bone-in chicken. But boneless chicken is preferred.
  • Instead of cashew powder. You can add badam powder as well.
  • I blend my cashews in a blender jar for few seconds till it is powdered.
  • Green chillies sauted in butter adds so much flavour. So add as much as you want.
  • This dish gets it taste from garlic. So feel free to add as much garlic as you want.

Serving & Storage Suggestions

  • Japan chicken taste great with plain white rice, but you can serve with fried rice, noodles or as an appetiser.
  • This taste amazing piping hot. So make and enjoy immediately.
