Equipment

  • OTG or Oven
  • Whisk

Ingredients

  • 150 grams Unsalted Butter ⅓ pound softened
  • ¾ cup Sugar 150 grams powdered
  • cup All Purpose Flour | Maida 180 grams
  • ½ teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking soda

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 Degree C / 360 Degree F.
  • Take flour, baking soda and baking powder in a bowl and mix them well. Set this aside till use.
  • Now in another mixing bowl. Take butter and powdered sugar. Cream this well so it turns fluffy. Now add in the flour mixture and mix well so it forms a soft dough.
  • Now pinch small portions from it and shape them into balls. Arrange this in a foil lined baking sheet. Press them little with your fingers. Use a fork to make some impression on them.
  • Now pop them in a preheated oven and bake for 18 to 20 mins. Remove them and let them cool slightly. Now remove them to cooling rack and let them cool completely.
  • Store them in an air tight container and serve with milk.

Notes

Use room temperature butter – It gives cookies a perfect texture and mixes better with sugar.
Measure flour correctly – The cookies may get dry if you use too much flour, so always level off the measuring cup.
Don’t over bake – As they cool, they get firmer, even though they may appear soft at first.
