- Spinach-3 cups chopped
- Chickpeas / Kondakadalai-1 cup cooked or 1 can drained
- Onion-1 sliced
- Tomato-2 chopped
- Chilli powder-1 tsp
- Coriander powder / Malli podi-1 tblspn
- Turmeric powder / Manjal podi-1 tsp
- Garam masala powder-1 tsp
- Cumin seeds / Jeerakam-1 tsp
- Oil-1 tblspn
- Salt to taste
Heat oil in a kadai and crackle some cumin seeds.
Add in onions and cook for 3 mins. Add in all the spice powders and mix well.
Throw in chopped tomatoes and mix well.
Season with some salt and mix well.
Add in spinach and mix well.Throw in chickpeas also..
Mix well.Pour in some water and cover and simmer for 5 -10 mins.
Serve it with roti or rice.
