- 35 to 40 Dry Red Chillies
- 1 cup Coriander Seeds / Mullu Kothamalli
- 2 tblspn Chana Dal / Kadala Paruppu
- 2 tblspn Toor Dal / Tuvaram Paruppu
- 2 teaspoon Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam
- 1 tblspn Whole Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi
- 1 tblspn Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi
Take all the ingredients except turmeric and asafoetida in a pan and dry roast them on low heat till golden.
Now add in turmeric and asafoetida. Mix well. Cool this completely.
Take this in a blender and powder them finely.
Take them in a air tight container and use in your dishes
