    Chettinad Kuzhambu Milagai Podi

    This is such a versatile spice powder to have on hand. Because they turn any simple dish extraordinary with their touch. You can make any south indian kulambu with this powder, you don't have to worry about any spices and stuffs like that.

    Ingredients for Chettinad Kuzhambu Milagai Podi

    • Dry Red Chillies - 35 to 40
    • Coriander Seeds / Mullu Kothamalli - 1 cup
    • Chana Dal / Kadala Paruppu - 2 tblspn
    • Toor Dal / Tuvaram Paruppu - 2 tblspn
    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 2 tsp
    • Whole Black Pepper - 1 tblspn
    • Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi - 1 tsp
    • Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - 1 tblspn

    How to make Chettinad Kuzhambu Milagai Podi

    1. Take all the ingredients except turmeric and asafoetida in a pan and dry roast them on low heat till golden. 
    2. Now add in turmeric and asafoetida. Mix well. Cool this completely.
    3. Take this in a blender and powder them finely.
    4. Take them in a air tight container and use in your dishes.

      Wow!! Yhe powder is very handy and I am making grounded masala using dis powder, onion n ginger garlic in seconds.. as d spices are already powdered.
      And the kulambu made using this powder gives a wonderful taste and making the dish delicious.
