Chorafali recipe, also known as Cholafali is a popular Gujarati snack made with gram flour, urad dal flour, baking soda and water. These snack when rolled and fried puffs up and gets a crispy yet hollow texture in the middle.
Take water and oil in a sauce pan and heat it till it gets warm.
Take gram flour, urad dal flour, salt, baking soda in a bowl. Pour the warm water over the flour and knead well till a smooth dough is formed. Cover and Set aside for 10 mins.
Take a portion of dough on a work surface. Dust generously with wheat flour and roll it thin. Cut it into strips and then cut that in half.
Heat oil for deep frying. Once hot, drop in the strips in hot oil. It will puff up. Flip over and fry on other side too. Fry till crispy and strain it on some paper towel.
Mix red chilli powder, amchoor, black salt in a bowl. This is your seasoning mix. Sprinkle with spice powder mix over fried chorafali. once cooled, store in an air tight container.
