An eggless walnut cookie is a delicious treat. Walnut is the star ingredient in this cookie. These cookies are perfect for those who prefer egg-free cookies whether due to allergies or lifestyle choices. Instead of eggs, oil-based cookies offer a soft and chewy texture. The walnuts in this cookie provide a rich and nutty flavor in every bite. These cookies are also a great option for anyone seeking healthy cookies that are both tasty and nutritious.
Preheat oven to 180 Degree C / 360 Degree F. Line a baking tray with foil and spray lightly with oil.
Take wheat flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
Take oil, honey and vanilla in a bowl and mix well. Pour this wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Mix well so it forms into a smooth dough. Now add in chopped walnuts and mix well.
Form small balls from it and shape them into rounds. Press them slightly and arrange them on a foil lined baking tray.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 mins. Remove from oven and allow them to cool down slightly. Remove to a cooling rack and let them cool completely. Serve with a glass of milk.
Notes
The oil-based dough will spread more than butter-based dough, so space out the cookies well on the parchment sheet.
For uniform cookies, use an ice cream scoop to portion out the dough. This helps all the cookies bake evenly and ensures they are in the same size.
These cookies are made with oil, they may bake faster than regular butter cookies. Check them a couple of minutes before the recommended time to prevent over baking.
Let the cookies cool on the baking tray for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Which helps them to set properly.
