Fig Jam Recipe | Fig Preserves Recipe

Fig Jam Recipe, Fresh figs are only in season for a very short time, so I always love to make a batch of fig jam that lasts all year long! This jam is so addictive with just using only 2 ingredients and hardly takes 10 minutes to prepare. It’s perfect for spreading on a toast or a sandwich or even you can serve them along with a cheese platter.

Notes

Here are some of the tips and tricks to follow for fig jam
  • Avoid overripe or bruised figs, as it spoils the taste and flavour.
  • Before cooking, you can mix the chopped figs and sugar well and let it rest for 30 minutes. It helps to extract juices, and dissolve sugar quickly.
  • Once the jam is completely cool, transfer them to the sterilised jars.
  • Always leave a 1⁄4 inch gap on top of the jar while filling.
