- ¼ cup Gingelly Oil (60 ml)
- 1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 cup All purpose flour (120 grams)
- 3 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
- Water as needed
Preheat oven to 200 degree C.
Mix oil, sugar, salt, baking power in a bowl and mix well.
Add in sesame seeds and mix well.
Add in flour and knead to a soft dough, If the dough is too dry, add little water.
Roll it into a square and cut into squares,
Pop it in a baking sheet and bake for 20 mins.
Remove and cool.
Serve.
- You can use wheat flour instead of regular flour.
- I used gingelly oil for the flavour, you can use melted butter, ghee or any oil.
- Sesame seeds can be used for the crunch in cookies.
- Sugar can be skipped if you don't want the cookies to be sweet.
Serving & Storage
Bake and cool the cookies completely. Store in an air container and it stays good for a week. These cookies can be served with a cup of tea or coffee.
