- 5 to 6 Green Tomato around 3 cups (chopped finely)
- 1 to 2 tablespoon Salt
- For Roasting & Grinding:
- 2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
- 6 to 8 Dry Red Chilli
- ½ teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
- For Seasoning Oil:
- ¼ cup Gingelly Oil
- ¼ teaspoon Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi
- Curry leaves a small handful
Take all roasting ingredients in a pan and toast till golden. Take it in a blender and powder finely.
Heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida and curry leaves and mix well. Let it sizzle. Now set aside so it cools
Take chopped green tomatoes in a bowl, add in the powder, salt and mix well.
Now pour this over the tomatoes and mix well.
Store in a clean jar for 2 days before serving.
