Homemade Breadcrumbs Recipe (How to make breadcrumbs at home)
Making Breadcrumbs at home is easy and quick than you think. In this blog post, I have shared fresh breadcrumbs and dry breadcrumbs. With this simple recipe use them as a crunchy coating for fried foods and so on.
Fresh breadcrumbs - Take bread slices, cut them into small chunks. Now take them in a blender and make it into powder. You can store this in a ziploc bag in the freezer.
Dry Breadcrumbs: Preheat oven to 150 degree C. Take bread slices and arrange it in a tray.
Pop this in oven for 5 to 7 mins till it turns golden brown, now remove it from oven, flip it over and bake them again for another 5 to 7 mins. Now remove them from oven and let them cool down.
Now break them roughly and take them in a blender and powder them. Store this in a ziploc bag in freezer.
Instead of cooking this in oven, you can toast them in a toaster as well.
Notes
Dry Breadcrumbs works great for cutlets.
If you want crispy and crunchy exterior you can use fresh ones.
Dry Breadcrumbs can be stored in freezer for more than 5 to 6 months.
Fresh Breadcrumbs can be stored in freezer for 2 to 3 months.
