I am sharing two version of breadcrumbs which i normally do, fresh ones and dried ones. I will be sharing seasoned breadcrumbs very soon. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

    How to Make Homemade Breadcrumbs

    For Fresh Breadcrumbs:

    1. Take bread slices, cut them into small chunks.
    2. Put it in a plate or a plastic bag and freeze them for 2 hours.
    3. Now take them in a blender and make it into powder.
    4. You can store this in a Ziploc bag in the freezer.

    For Dry Breadcrumbs:

    1. Preheat oven to 150 degree C.
    2. Take bread slices and arrange it in a tray.
    3. Pop this in oven for 5 to 7 mins till it turns golden brown, now remove it from oven, flip it over and bake them again for another 5 to 7 mins.
    4. Now remove them from oven and let them cool down.
    5. Now break them roughly and take them in a blender and powder them.
    6. Store this in a Ziploc bag in freezer.
    7. Instead of cooking this in oven, you can toast them in a toaster as well.

    Notes:

    1. Dry Breadcrumbs works great for cutlets.
    2. If you want crispy and crunchy exterior you can use fresh ones.
    3. Dry Breadcrumbs can be stored in freezer for more than 5 to 6 months.
    4. Fresh Breadcrumbs can be stored in freezer for 2 to 3 months.
