I am sharing two version of breadcrumbs which I normally do, fresh ones and dried ones.

    About Homemade Breadcrumbs

Fresh breadcrumbs is made with white bread or brown bread as per your liking. You have to just blend bread to make breadcrumbs. It is as simple as that.

You can make breadcrumbs two ways. Fresh and dry version. Dry breadcrumbs stay fresh longer than fresh ones.

Any which way you make, I recommend storing bread crumbs in freezer for longer shelf lifer.

I used an oven to dry out my bread, but you can use a toasted oven as well. In my personal experience, I found out that fresh breadcrumbs results in crispy exterior of fried foods.

Dry creates a thin coating over the food so it is best for making baked goods.

    Ingredients

Bread slices - for making breadcrumbs, you can use white bread or brown bread. Slightly stale bread is perfect for making crumbs.

    Step by Step Pictures

    Fresh Breadcrumbs

1)take bread slices. For making breadcrumbs you can use both white bread or brown bread. Cut them into small cubes.

3)take them in a blender or food processor. You have to pulse few times to powder it.

4)This is how it looks. Fine breadcrumbs is ready.

5)Transfer to a ziploc bag and store in freezer until required.

    Dry Breadcrumbs

6)Take bread slices and arrange it in a baking tray. Place this into a low preheated oven for 15 minutes. You have to flip them half way through for baking on other side too.

7)Now you can see the bread has dried out. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

8)Now take the bread in a blender and pulse few times.

9)Breadcrumbs is ready. Store this in freezer until ready to use.
