Kollu thogayal also known as horse gram chutney is a popular and traditional south Indian recipe made using kollu ( horse gram ), red chillies, coconut and garlic. This is one of the instant and healthy recipes that you can make in less than 20 minutes. Kollu thogayal can be served with idli, dosai, hot rice or any south Indian meal. Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Horse Gram / Kollu / Kanam
  • 3 tablespoon Coconut
  • 2 cloves Garlic peeled
  • 1 no Dry Red Chilli
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

Instructions
 

  • Dry roast horse gram till it is light golden and aromatic.
  • Remove that to a bowl and wash the well. Soak them in water for 10 mins.
  • Now in a blender. Add coconut, garlic and dry chilli. Now add in the drained horse gram, season with salt. Grind this to a chutney adding some water. Remove this to a serving dish and enjoy with rice.
