Mango salsa is a quick and easy fix for the summer heat because it is naturally cooling and refreshing. It is made with simple ingredients like ripe mangoes, chilli, coriander leaves, lemon juice and basic seasoning. It is an easy to make recipe and burst with flavours in every spoonful. Serve this mango salsa with nachos, chips, grilled dishes or even enjoy as a light snack.
Wash and pat dry ripe mango. Peel off the skin using a vegetable peeler. take the mango in a cutting board and remove both cheeks from the mango. Chop mango into fine dice.
Take mangoes, green chillies, coriander leaves, lemon juice, salt, sugar in a bowl and toss well. Let it sit in fridge for 30 minutes for the flavors to mingle together.
Serve with chips or as side salad with roast meat.
Notes
I like to use semi ripe mangoes so it holds its shape better when chopping and mixing together.
You can use finely chopped mint leaves for flavor.
Green chillies can be skipped if you prefer less spicy.
For Indian touch, you can add some roasted cumin powder and chaat masala.
