Mango sorbet recipe is a sweet and tangy dessert that’s perfect for hot summer days. It’s thick, creamy and so simple to make. It is prepared using mango puree, sugar and lemon juice. Ingredients
  

  • 2 large Ripe Mangoes peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Instructions
 

  • Peel and cube mangoes. Take mangoes in a blender and puree til smooth. Set this aside.
  • Take sugar, lemon juice and water in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Take it off the heat and add pureed mangoes and Mix well. Spoon this into a container and freeze for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Now remove the semi frozen sorbet frozen mix in a blender and puree till smooth. Spoon back in the container and freeze. Repeat this 2 more times.
  • Now freeze this overnight. Remove the container from freezer 10 minutes before serving. Scoop and serve.

Notes

  • Always use fresh and ripe mangoes. It helps to create rich texture and flavour.
  • Cool the sugar-lemon juice syrup before adding it to the mango puree.
  • Make sure to cover the sorbet with a cling wrap on top.

Storage and serving

Store the mango sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer and it stays fresh upto 3 months. Serve the freshly scooped sorbet with ice creams or cut fruits or fresh mint leaves on top.
