Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour / Maida
  • 1 tablespoon Kasuri Methi Leaves / Dried Fenugreek Leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Carom Seeds / Ajwain
  • ½ teaspoon crushed coarsely Black Pepper
  • 3 tablespoon Ghee / Clarified Butter
  • Salt to taster
  • Water as needed

Instructions
 

  • Take all the ingredients except water in a bowl and rub with your fingers to incorporate ghee in the flour.
  • Add water slowly and knead it to a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 mins.
  • Now divide the dough into small balls and roll it out. Now flatten it out and make a indention in the center. Now use a fork to prick holes in the mathri.
  • Heat oil for deep frying, drop mathri in hot oil and fry it in a medium heat oil till golden.
  • Remove it and drain in some paper towel.
  • Cool it down and store it in a air tight container.
