Varagu / Kodo Millet - 1 cup
▢
Saamai / Little Millet - 1 cup
▢
Salt to taste
▢
Coconut - 1 cup grated
▢
Oil - 1 tblspn
▢
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
▢
Urad dal - 2 tblspn
▢
Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi - ½ tsp
▢
Dry Red Chilli - 4 broken into small pieces

Curry leaves a handful
Instructions

Take varagu and saamai in a bowl and wash well. Cover with water and let it soak for 8 to 10 hours. Drain and set aside.

Take it in a blender and puree coarsely.
▢
Take it in a bowl, add coconut and salt and mix well.
▢
Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard, urad dal, chillies and curry leaves. Let them sizzle.
▢
Add it into the millet mix.
▢
Make this into small balls.
▢
Bring lots of water to a boil, drop kozhukattai in and simmer it and cook for 10 to 15 mins on low heat.
▢
Drain and serve.
