- Mint Leaves - 2 cups packed Mom added some coriander leaves too
- Salt to taste
- Sugar - 1 tsp
For Roasting & Grinding:
- Toor Dal / Tuvaram paruppu- 1 tblspn
- Urad dal / Ulundam paruppu - 1 tblspn
- Dry Red Chilli - 2
- Coconut - ½ cup
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Tamarind - 1 small piece
Take all the roasting ingredients except tamarind and roast them in a dry pan for 3 to 4 mins.
Now add in mint leaves and saute them till they are wilted.
Add in tamarind and mix them well.
Add in salt and sugar and toss well.
Take this in a blender and add very little water to make into a thick chutney.
Serve with rice, dosa or idli.
